Managed Forests in Brazil have taken on a more important role in Brazil as more and more attention to conservation must be placed on native forest lands. One of the dominate species grown in the managed forestlands is Taeda Pine, a fast growing softwood used to make doors, mouldings, plywood and furniture. There are a growing number of managed forest lands meeting certified standards for sustainable management practices. This trend will have a positive effect on keeping the native forest regions intact and growing.
